The Fontenay in Hamburg set for spring opening

New property is part of a busy year for the German city, with a further 18 hotels scheduled to open in 2018.

New luxury hotel The Fontenay is set to open in Hamburg this spring.

Designed by Hamburg architect Jan Storm, The Fontenay offers breathtaking views over the Alster Lake from its 131 rooms and suites, along with indoor and outdoor pools on the seventh-floor roof terrace.

Located in its own private park in the city, the hotel’s conference facilities are across four rooms equipped with the latest in audio and visual technology.

"The Fontenay is a reflection of modern Hamburg: open-minded, cosmopolitan and exceptionally welcoming," said the hotel’s director Thies Sponholz.

"A homage to the Hanseatic city, the luxury hotel is tailor-made for the many national and international visitors who come to discover and rediscover Hamburg."
