The solution for 5,000 youths under one roof - lots of flexible space

Space and a flexible layout were key to the Youth Conference for World Mission held in Stuffgart for 5,000 delegates.

Event organisers wisely decided on a venue with spacious rooms and a flexible layout to make sure there was room for a successful Youth Conference for World Mission and 5,000 delegates.

The Youth Conference for World Mission (JuMiKo) celebrated its 25th anniversary in January 2018, continuing "loyal" ties at Messe Stuttgart where the event has been held every year since 1991.

Dorothee Kuhs from the JuMiKo organisation team said: "The spacious room concepts with the flexible layout in the ICS International Congress Center Stuttgart are a perfect match for our event format.

"Together with the incredible service commitment of the Messe Stuttgart team, this produces a successful conference concept with eight parallel talks. The good public transport connections, the motorway network and the extensive parking facilities are other major advantages."

Kuhs says that from many conversations with delegates, they like coming to Stuttgart because of the venue and excellent transport links.

JuMiKo is staged on behalf of the Christian movement 'Lebendige Gemeinde' (Living Community) by an association called Christliche Fachkräfte International.

The Christian movement is a consortium of church congregations, youth and community organisations, mission agencies, the Home Group Movement and other Christian initiatives.

Stefan Lohnert vice president guest events at Messe Stuttgart says JuMiKo is one of the year’s most popular events.

"We find a very dedicated organisation team in the JuMiKo with whom cooperation is very enjoyable and goes hand in hand," said Lohnert.

"We are therefore all the more delighted that the JuMiKo also wants to continue at our location in future.

"The date for 2019 has already been fixed."

Messe Stuttgart
The Messe Stuttgart is a sustainably constructed and trade fair congress complex near Stuttgart Airport, with direct connections to the A8 motorway and to public transport.

It has a hall area of 120,000 sqm, with 40,000 sqm of outdoor space and around 33 rooms. The space can be used flexibly along with the adjoining ICS International Congress Center Stuttgart, which can also accommodate up to 10,000 visitors.
