Objectives

The launch of the global business centre was both a thought leadership opportunity for Standard Chartered Bank (SCB) as well as to formally launch its new corporate HQ in Bangalore.

The audience contained more than 300 senior financial and IT tech leaders and influencers from Asia. The main messages were that SCB is committed to its journey as a global digital bank with a human touch and that smart intuitive technology is at the heart of SCB strategy, including evolving artificial intelligence, introducing global customer service platforms, reducing manual errors and strengthening its approach to cyber-crime.

Solution

A number of SCB executives and renowned international experts spoke both live and virtually. They included Tom Siebel, Michael Gorriz, Jim Dolphin, Matthew Norris, Kwan Chee Sun, Shameek Kundu, K.Ananth Krishnan, Srinivas Vishnubhatia and MC Divya Jaitly.

The main challenge was a very limited time span of five weeks to get the event designed, produced and staged. Both the Deeper Blue UK and India offices worked with the SCB international project team to produce a two-hour event with content produced across a full 360 degree ‘wrap around’ digital immersion theatre for the audience using UHD ‘watchout graphics’, production and editing of five videos, plus the design and construction of 11 mini-exhibition stands all with dynamic info-graphics. There was also a separate three-camera film facility shooting the main plenary event to display on large screens.

Verdict

"On behalf of the Standard Chartered international team I would like to sincerely thank the Deeper Blue team," said a spokesperson for Standard Chartered Bank.

"It was great collaborative effort. The wonderful accolades are well-deserved…. everyone did a stellar job supporting and we had a truly outstanding event."
