Aberfield Communications’ new events management division has been appointed by Leeds Mind to plan and organise its annual Mindful Employer conference.

Leeds Mind, part of the mental health charity Mind, is the region’s lead partner of the Mindful Employer national initiative, which promotes positive attitudes to mental health in the workplace.

Aberfield will be supporting all aspects of the one-day conference, which will take place in June. Employers will have access to practical advice workshops, expert speakers and case studies, helping them further understand mental health in the workplace and better support their employees.

Chloë Matthbury, events specialist at Aberfield, said: "This is a fantastic first appointment for Aberfield’s event division. We can’t wait to get started and work with the Leeds Mind team to promote positive attitudes to mental health to employers."

Hannah Patten, mindful employer coordinator at Leeds Mind, said: "The 2018 conference has been made possible with funding from Leeds City Council and will be our biggest event of the year.

It gives us the opportunity to connect with our employers and help them continue on their journey as a mindful employer. Having Aberfield on board means we can focus on the content of the event knowing that the logistics are sorted and the event will run to plan."
