Sandals opens over-the-water suites in Jamaica

Each of the 12 over-the-water suites at Sandals South Coast features hardwood floors, vaulted ceilings, a smart TV and king-size beds and rain shower. Glass floor panels allow day and night views of sea and rich marine life below. A private butler is included to cater for any requests.

Outside, guests can relax on the private patio which features an extended sun deck with swim-up platform, a Tranquillity Soaking Tub, overwater hammocks, an outdoor shower and sun loungers. The resort also offers a host of water sport activities including snorkelling, kayaking, scuba diving and paddle-boarding.

Sandals South Coast, previously named Sandals Whitehouse European Village & Spa, underwent a makeover at the end of 2016 with new additions including Japanese restaurant, Sushi on the Sand, Jerk Shack (which serves traditional Caribbean fare), Schooner’s grill and an over-the-water bar.
