Clearwater Events recently hosted a road trip through Warwickshire for its client, Sunny Cars. The event highlighted the benefits and value for money that destinations like Warwickshire can offer compared to other UK and European destinations.

Influential travel bloggers from the Netherlands and Belgium were invited to check out the best of Warwickshire on a one-day, 300-mile road-trip, which included challenges and tasks.

Sunny Cars and Clearwater Events worked in partnership with Hertz to provide brand new, top of the range Volvo cars with new 4G Wi-Fi systems.

"The broad concept came from Sunny Cars who approached us to see if we could help. Of course, we jumped at the chance," said Stephen Morton Prior, MD of Clearwater Events. "The key challenge for us was the route, making sure that we were making best use of their travel time in-between destinations.

"We wanted to create an event that featured Stratford-Upon-Avon and Warwick Castle while bringing in some unique activities with a surprise element."

On the way, drivers also stopped off at Church Farm Brewery (an old dairy farm converted into a brewery); there was a private river boat trip in Stratford-Upon-Avon; a visit to Shakespeare’s birthplace; and afternoon tea at Coombe Abbey, and a drive along the famous Fosse Way Roman Road (one of the oldest and most picturesque roads in the UK).
