The event will take place at the QE11 Centre, Broad Sanctuary, Westminster, with arrivals from 5.30pm for a 6pm start (RSVP by 5 January).

IMEX Group CEO Carina Bauer said: "We are pleased that Martin Lewis and Pat Delaney – two of Paul’s closest friends will be helping us to organise the event and ensure that it is an evening he would be proud of.

"It will be very relaxed and we will invite those attending to contribute their memories in an informal way during the event."

From 7pm there will be refreshments and time for a sharing of stories. The organisers have asked that those wishing to attend complete a brief registration form

The form includes space to submit short anecdotes and upload photos. These will be compiled into a book for Paul’s family.

Charitable donations, in lieu of flowers, can be made to Kidney Research UK.

Considered by many as in industry trailblazer, Paul passed away after several years of serious illness. He was considered a great friend and valued mentor to industry colleagues in all corners of the world, following a career in the global meetings and events industry that spanned more than 30 years.
