With a sunny climate all year round, stunning venues and a wealth of activities, Monaco is an ideal destination for MICE groups.
1) Be spoilt for choice
The Monte-Carlo Societé des Bains des Mer Resort includes four hotels, rated four- and five-star, 45 meeting and banqueting rooms, more than 30 restaurants and bars, three spas and four casinos. Host a lavish banquet for up to 300 people in the ornate Salle Belle Epoque at the Hotel Hermitage Monte-Carlo, while the Salle des Etoiles, housed in the Sporting Monte-Carlo complex, spans 1,000msq and features a retractable roof and large bay windows. The venue plays host to major events such as the celebrated Rose Ball and concerts from international artists; available to hire on an exclusive basis, it provides a stunning setting for gala dinners. The breathtaking Salle Empire at the Hotel de Paris Monte-Carlo, overlooking the Casino Square, can host events for up to 600 and will reopen in 2019 following refurbishment.
2) Take teambuilding to the next level
Host a private wine tasting at the Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo’s legendary wine cellars, with a tour from a master sommelier followed by a tasting of selected grands cru. Groups can also enjoy cookery classes at the Monte-Carlo Bay and the iconic Buddha Bar Monte-Carlo, while sporting enthusiasts can head to the Monte-Carlo Golf Club, offering 18 holes with stunning views of the French and Italian Rivieras.
3) Network in style
For the chance to unwind with colleagues after a day of meetings, groups can enjoy drinks by the harbour at La Rascasse. One of Monaco’s most picturesque bars, it features live music and has an iconic setting on the famous hairpin bend of the F1 track. The venue can be hired on an exclusive or semi-exclusive basis for events, hosting up to 450 people.
4) Enjoy the ultimate in relaxation
For a spa-themed, post-meeting incentive, head to the Thermes Marins Monte-Carlo wellness centre, directly connected to the Hotel Hermitage Monte-Carlo. There are options to suit all groups: indulge in treatments, with à la carte options available on a daily basis for groups of up to 100, or spend time soaking up the views in the outdoor jacuzzi overlooking the Rock of Monaco. A solarium, hammam, sauna and panoramic fitness room are also available.
5) Indulge in cultural experiences
La Condamine - the second oldest part of Monaco, is home to a traditional market selling local produce and dates back to 1880. As well as appreciating the area’s rich history and discovering the market’s eclectic range of goods, from souvenirs, to local culinary specialities to wine, groups can privatise the marketplace for events. The many restaurants on the harbourfront can also be used for innovative dine-arounds.
