Hard Rock Hotel Tenerife's convention centre is equipped with ultra-modern facilities, spread over more than 546m2 of space. The multi-purpose hall divides into different rooms of varying capacities, with a maximum capacity of 525 people for a cocktail-style event.

Two meeting rooms with 25m2 and 27m2 of space can act as breakout rooms for small receptions or intimate gatherings. Staff members can also arrange for guests to visit to Teide National Park to check out one of the largest volcanoes in the world, charter a catamaran or yacht, or experience the abundant animal life in the seas around the island on a snorkelling or diving trip.

PortAventura Convention Centre (below) is the only professional convention centre to have two of its own theme parks: PortAventura Park and Ferrari Land. The site can host from 10 to 3,000 guests, providing events right at the epicentre of the fun and thrills. Other add-ons to the delegate experience include; 2,000 rooms within five fourand five-star hotels, a water park, a full range of restaurants, shows, golfing and team-building activities and exclusive opening of the theme park areas.

Eighteen multi-functional rooms include the Alexandria, with a capacity for 3,000 people, the Harvard, a fully equipped auditorium for 150 people, and the Tarraco, ideal for board and committee meetings. All the terraces can host gala dinners and open-air functions in a warm climate. The building has been designed with sustainability in mind, with recycling and re-use of water and energy resources among the top priorities.

Hotels

Only You Hotel Atocha (below) is situated in the centre of Madrid on the Paseo Infanta Isabel, opposite Puerta de Atocha station and just metres from the Retiro park. The 114 deluxe rooms overlook a glassed-in courtyard, while on-site New York-style patisserie Mama Framboise serves up sweet treats and fresh coffee. The inspirationally named meeting rooms - Think Room, Dream Room and Work Room - are all suitable for smaller, intimate meetings.

OD Hotel is in the heart of the Eixample district, 200m from Paseo de Gracia, the trendiest haunt of Barcelona. Gaudi's artwork in the famous boulevard, the Sagrada Familia or the main square Plaza Cataluna are all close by.

The 98 rooms and suites are complemented by the OD Sky Bar, a rooftop terrace with swimming pool and a solarium where guests can enjoy cocktails while taking in city views. The space can be booked for private events, offering 500m2 of space for cocktail receptions for 400 or banquets for 150. The hotel's Grand Suite offers its own private swimming pool on a terrace.

Gran Hotel Domine is in the arts district of the Basque city of Bilbao, surrounded by the Guggenheim Museum, the Fine Arts Museum, the Iberdrola Tower and the Euskalduna Palace. The main shopping street, Moyua Metro station and main tourist attractions are only five minutes walk away, while the property also offers an array of meeting and events spaces. The floor of the roof terrace bar has been designed to look like the decks of a cruise ship, so that delegates can imagine they are docked on the Nervion.

Activities

Club La Santa (below) is a much-feted fitness resort in the north-west corner of Lanzarote, located just outside the tiny village of La Santa. The complex is a training ground for international athletes, which means it boasts three Olympic-sized swimming pools and a running track. The on-site conference room offers up to 11 possible configurations, hosting from 30 to 300 people.

A standard conference package includes a five-night stay in one of the 96 suites, with delegates having access to all the free activities as well as tailored sports and fitness team-building sessions with a dedicated instructor. Delegates can dine a la carte or a bespoke menu can be created. There is also the option of a private barbecue on the beach, tapas, pizzas and a wine-tasting evening.

Medias Puri - The Secret, which opened in February this year, poses as a simple haberdashery shop. Behind the facade lies a secret nightclub in the basement of the Teatro Nuevo Apolo. Inside, lucky guests will have a spectacular experience, consisting of cocktails, shows, gastronomical indulgence and unadulterated fun. With capacity for 1,000 people, there are three dance floors, the Sala Central (Main Room), the Sala Negra (Black Room), and the Apotheke (Pharmacy).
