The Events Raccoon wins Multivac and WRc plc in first year

The agency owned by former Capita event manager won six new clients and achieved a turnover of £250,000 in its first year.

Beckie Hyson, director of The Events Racoon started her career as a conference consultant, with her most recent role as events development manager with Capita Travel and Events.

She set up the agency a year ago after three months travelling and the agency achieved a turnover of £250,000 in its first year.

Hyson said: "It’s been an amazing first year and I’ve thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it. Making the decision to go out on my own was a daunting one at the time, but looking back at the year we’ve had and with what’s planned for the next two, it’s a decision I’m delighted with."
