The three-day event will take place AMBEREXPO Exhibition and Convention Centre from 15-17 October.
Under the theme of ‘Progress through Partnerships’, topics set for discussion include: cross border collaboration; technology transfer and training; private sector investment; and the role of regional organisations and power pools. A water-technology exhibit will accompany the conference all three days of its duration.
Delegates will represent nations at different stages of hydropower development, including the pioneering countries that have developed major schemes, those that have programmes under development, and those with unexploited potential.
The booking was made following a successful study tour to the region which took place in June. As part of the conference, delegates will be given the opportunity to explore the city on the Baltic shore.
The event is being supported by the local utility company Energa, as well as the Polish Hydropower Association, the Insititute of Fluid Flow Machinery of the Polish Academy of Sciences, and the Polish Association for Small Hydropower Development.
