Hilton Canopy reveals first north American property

Lifestyle hotel brand Canopy by Hilton has revealed its first North American property in Washington D.C.

Set on the Potomac River, and named The Wharf, it is home to some of D.C.’s newest restaurants, year-round entertainment and waterfront accommodations.

The property’s 175 guestrooms and rooftop bar and lounge, Whiskey Charlie, are part of Hoffman-Madison Waterfront’s $2.5 billion, mixed-use waterfront neighbourhood in Southwest Washington, D.C.

Canopy by Hilton global head Gary Steffen said: "With its numerous restaurants and community offerings, The Wharf neighbourhood brings a new energy to the capital’s southwest waterfront.

"There is no better place to introduce the first American location of our locally-inspired lifestyle brand than right here in Hilton’s own backyard."

Its distinctive interiors include nautical touches inspired by the history and beauty of the riverfront.
