New head of global sales for Melia

Gianni Salvadori has assumed the new position of head of global sales business travel and MICE, UK & Ireland.

Salvadori has been with Meliá Hotels International for more than four years, previously working head of business travel sales for the UK and Ireland.

With more than 20 years of experience within the travel industry, he has worked on a multitude of segments including tour operator, cruise, TMC, airlines and hotels. Salvatori’s wide range of experience has proved to be pivotal in developing business in the UK.

Nick Cook, marketing and PR manager at melia White House, said: "Gianni's proven success in developing client partnerships within the UK market has made him the ideal candidate to lead our strategic plan across the BT & MICE segments."
