A new resort with 71 pool pavilions and villas is to open along a 600-metre tropical beachfront at Emerald Bay in southwestern Phuket.

Each sea-facing residential-style room, from 130 sqm for the Ocean View Pool Pavilion to standalone 796 sqm two-bedroom Ocean House, has a private infinity pool.

The design, which uses floor-to-ceiling windows and open-sided spaces to merge interiors with the natural environment, continues the expansion of Rosewood Hotels & Resorts when it opens on 2 November.

Rosewood Phuket, is the brand's first Southeast Asia resort, and offers access to hidden shrines, Sino-Portuguese architecture in Phuket Old Town and luxury yachts to explore nearby islands.
