Crown has appointed Kim Burrows as its new head of event operations. She joins from agency Grass Roots, where she was project director.

Burrows will have responsibility across all clients for event operations, venue services, delegate management, travel solutions and incentives.

Simon Hambley, director of live at Crown, said: "We are delighted that Kim has chosen to join Crown. We have a period of growth ahead of us, with some significant contracts. Her experience will be invaluable in helping us make that growth a success.

"At the same time we changed the name of the department because we felt ‘logistics’ did not properly reflect the full breadth of the offering to our clients, or the level of knowledge that the team possesses. Operations is a significant part of our business alongside production, design, technical services, consultancy and video. It is every bit as important as those traditional service offerings and one we wanted to recognise fully."
