Delivering engaging content at events that provokes delegate reactions and interactions is a continually evolving challenge for us. Event technology has opened up numerous opportunities to increase engagement and has become one of the most important aspects of any event.

There’s an app for everything, both from an engagement perspective as well as assisting the event management process. Apps that make registration and break out sign ups more efficient, as well as integrating instant messaging and social media, help to streamline the management process, before, during and after an event, giving our clients and us the ability to focus on strategy, engagement and event content.

Engagement is also key. There’s no doubt that the way delegates interact at events is changing. Attention spans are becoming shorter and therefore having an app that can be accessed from any device makes it much easier for delegates to collect and engage with content. Whitepapers and strategy documents will no longer be lost amongst other paperwork, never to be seen again.

For our clients, gathering data in real-time using live polls and Q&A session, means they can easily measure and compare how successful an event has been. Which piece of content has been downloaded the most, which session delegates were most engaged with and importantly, assist them in measuring their events overall ROI.

Apps aren’t ‘new’ to our industry but like most things, they continue to evolve. There are quite literally hundreds of event apps making interacting at events, collecting data and registering delegates a lot easier and far more efficient. As event agencies, it has to be our mission to keep on top of changing event technology in order for us to provide our clients with insight and expertise on the latest and greatest event technology out there.
