Singapore announced as headline partner for C&IT Awards

Singapore has been announced as the headline partner for the C&IT Awards 2017, following the launch of its Passion Made Possible campaign

Singapore is the headline partner for the C&IT Awards, taking place on 22 September.

Last week, STB and the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB) launched ‘Passion Made Possible’, a unified brand to market Singapore internationally for tourism and business.

STB plans to launch the new brand to attendees at the C&IT Awards first, giving industry buyers the chance to see what’s on offer.

Earlier this year, STB and and Singapore Airlines (SIA) launched the second edition of the Singapore MICE Advantage Programme (SMAP) with existing partners, CAG, STB and SIA, and new partners JetQuay and Uber Singapore.

The programme offers customised support through STB’s Business Events in Singapore (BEiS) Scheme and facilitation for event organisers. It also simplifies the planning process for organisers by introducing suppliers and agencies, as well as recommending MICE venues and experiences.

SMAP applies to qualified events that are considering Singapore as a host destination. Applications can be sent in from now until 31 December 2019 and all events should take place before 31 December 2025. The (INSPIRE) Programme for Europe and North America will also be extended for an additional year till 31 December 2018.

Singapore was ranked as the Top Convention City in Asia-Pacific in the 2016 International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA) Rankings, for the 15th consecutive year. It was also named the 6th Top Convention City Worldwide, up from 7th position in 2015.

The C&IT Awards will take place on Friday 22 September at the London Hilton Park Lane. Further details can be found here.
