The 302-bedroom Motel One Manchester-Royal Exchange is located on Cross Street, just a short walk from the city's shopping district and Manchester Piccadilly train station.
The décor has been given an industrial theme to complement the hotel's historic setting and give a nod to Manchester’s industrial past.
The entrance hall features 6m high round arches made of steel, beneath an Alturo Alvarez chandelier which floats from the ceiling like balls of cotton-wool. Behind reception, printed linen depicts cotton plants.
Local suppliers were used where possible, with the long Chesterfield sofa in the The One Lounge and Bar custom made by Stylematters. The industrial theme continues into the bedrooms, with wallpaper depicting wooden wheels and metal letters finishing the look.
Mobile desks and free WI-FI mean guest can work comfortably in their rooms, or kick back in one of the leather armchairs and watch the 42" LG TV.
The brand's first hotel opened in the Piccadilly area of the city centre in 2015.
