Lord's Cricket Ground expands events team

Lord's Cricket Ground has bolstered its meetings and events team with two new appointments.

Robyn Theron joins as meetings and events sales manager. She was previously sales and events manager at central London venue Balls Brothers, owned by Novus Leisure.

In her new role she will be charged with implementing strategies to drive business growth and assisting with the management of meetings and events sales. Her experience includes a stint at the Aquila Private Game Reserve, a luxury spa set in the Southern Karoo Highlands, South Africa.

Sarah Greenwood joins the team from Ravenwood Hall where she was meetings and events manager. Her new remit as meetings and events sales executive will include dealing with reactive sales and enquiries, conducting site visits and liaising with private and corporate clients to assist with their event planning. Greenwood has also previously worked as the VIP area manager for the MOBO Awards.

Nick Kenton, head of sales for meetings, events and hospitality at Lord’s comments: "We are delighted to welcome Robyn and Sarah to the team. They both have excellent previous experience, which I know will make an important contribution to managing our ever-increasing business volume. I’m sure both Robyn and Sarah will bring an abundance of fresh ideas to the meetings and events team."
