Venue of the Week: Gran Hotel Manzana Kempinski La Habana

C&IT's Venue of the Week is Gran Hotel Manzana Kempinski La Habana, Cuba's first five-star luxury hotel, officially opened its doors to guests just last week.

Centrally located in the heart of Old Havana, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the hotel features 246 rooms and suites, six restaurants and bars, a world-class spa and wellness facility, as well as panoramic views of the historic city centre.

Guests can enjoy traditional afternoon tea with freshly baked pastries at El Arsena, while Evocación Tobacco Lounge offers a selection of rums, cigars and spirits. Fresh seafood with a Latin touch is served at the San Cristóbal Panoramic Restaurant and El Surtidor Pool Terrace and Bar serves Hispanic-inspired tapas and locally-sourced cocktails.

The spa offers eight treatment rooms, a thermal bathing area, gym and a rooftop infinity pool overlooking Old Havana.
