Thorpe Park's Island Escape

Thorpe Park unveiled its new 2017 business packages last Thursday (25 May) at a Caribbean themed event.

Guests were welcomed with a rum punch reception, given exclusive ride time on the theme park's flagship roller coasters and private access to the jungle maze to coincide with the launch of its new team building package; I’m A Delegate...Get Me Out Of Here!

Those brave enough boarded Derren Brown’s Ghost Train: Rise of the Demon, before enjoying a spread of Caribbean-inspired food and drinks.

Conference Contacts' 30th anniversary party

Global event management firm Conference Contacts celebrated 30 years in the business on Wednesday evening (31 May) with a star-studded event at London’s hottest new hotel, The Ned.

As one of the longest standing British event companies, it chose to mark the occasion with a very British affair. The entertainment line-up for the evening featured some of the most exciting British names of our time, from Dynamo to racing driver Matt Howson, as well as live music, and a silent auction in aid of the National Rheumatoid Arthritis Society.

Event 360

Event planners gathered at etc.venues County Hall in London on Thursday (1 June) for the fourth annual Event 360.

The day-long forum hosted by C&IT and sister title Event incorporated a series of brand and agency panel discussions with representatives from Ribena, Pandora, ITV, Pernod Ricard and Amadeus.

Keynote speaker Louise Fowler shared her stories on how she led programmes to create disruption across a range of business sectors including how she introduced the British Airways Executive Club and the first beds on a plane.

The day closed with delegates achieving a Guinness World Record for the most double high fives in one minute.
