Earlier this year, the agency created a new marketing department as part of its long-term events strategy.

Lewis Johnston joins as an  account executive, previously holding an account manager position at The Rugby Football League.

Izzy Robson also joins as an account manager, having  spent the last two years freelancing as an event planner in northern England.  She also previously worked at Principal Global Events and Grass Roots Meetings and Events.

Commenting on the hires, Richard Murphy, managing director at First Event said: "We have experienced a period of rapid growth in the last 18 months (which has so far seen us increase our workforce by 19 and dramatically expand our offices.) We are delighted to be able to welcome even more highly talented and motivated individuals to the First Event family."
