Venue of the Week: Messe Frankfurt

C&IT's Venue of the Week is Messe Frankfurt, which operates two congress centres in Frankfurt alongside the second-largest exhibition grounds in the world.

Messe Frankfurt’s exhibition grounds are situated near Frankfurt Central Station in the city centre and have ten halls and various other facilities across a total of 366,637sqm of exhibition space, as well as an outdoor exhibition area measuring over 96,000 square metres.

Congress building include the Congress Center and Kap Europa, which features a hall for up to 1,000 people, a divisible hall for 600 and 12 further conference rooms, alongside a 4,00msq foyer. The Festhalle, meanwhile can hold up to 13,500 visitors. 

By autumn 2018, construction of the new Hall 12 in the western section of the exhibition grounds will have been completed and will consist of two levels one above the other, offering 33,600sqm of exhibition space.

Messe Frankfurt was the venue for IMEX 2017 which took place in Hall 8 and 9 from 16-18 May.
