Eventopedia appoints two non-executive directors

Eventopedia has announced the appointment of two independent non-executive directors, John Macpherson and James Pimentel-Pinto.

Macpherson is the CEO at BMLL  Technologies,  having  worked with leading investment  banks Goldman  Sachs,  JP Morgan  and Nomura for  over  20  Years. He represents  BMLL  Technology  as  part  of  the Bank  of England Fin Tech Community. He is also senior advisor, consultant and non-executive director to a handful of  start-ups  and  SME’s.

Speaking about the role, Macpherson said: "I see great synergies in the paths of Eventopedia and BMLL Technologies and there is a huge opportunity to transform the meeting and events industry using the cloud based platform that Eventopedia has created with Microsoft.  I am really excited to join the Eventopedia team and help accelerate the global growth in the coming months."

James Pimentel-Pinto is the founder & CEO of ideafather and Leanbinary. He is also non-executive director of MindSauce and Dogma, and is an advisor to a number of private companies. In 2006 he founded agencymobile, turning it into the go-to premium mobile agency for leading companies including the BBC, Deutsche Bank, The Football Association and the Telegraph.

Pimentel-Pinto said: "I’ve been working with and advising the founders at Eventopedia for 12 months and am delighted to be joining the board as a NED. I believe that the founders have the right approach to unifying, simplifying and enhancing an industry desperately in need of agile solutions for its users."
