The climax of a jam-packed itinerary showcasing the C&I highlights of Singapore came began on Sunday evening (26 March) at the iconic Raffles Hotel, the home of the original Singapore Sling. The group gathered in the famous Long Bar where a mixology class was led by expert bartenders who revealed the secrets behind blending a variety of flavours into the famous gin-based cocktail in a masterclass experience against the clock.
The activity whet the delegates’ appetite nicely ahead of a lavish gala dinner at one of Singapore's most exciting venues. One of the many gems of the $6bn Resorts World Sentosa, S.E.A Aquarium was the venue for a final dinner to toast a successful trip. As the group made their way passed an array of exotic sea life, tables were set in front of the largest tank on show where a squadron of manta rays, leopard sharks and saw fish swam peacefully as the group tucked into a three-course dinner. The evening was capped off with cocktails at 1-Altitude, one of Singapore’s highest rooftop bars perching at 282-metres above sea level.
The final day consisted of a day-long forum, held at the Equarius Hotel, Resorts World Sentosa where guest speakers from the likes of MCI, PMG Asia, American Express M&E and Hilton Hotels gathered to share insight and best practice on bringing corporate events to the destination, while C&IT features editor Jack Carter presented the latest trends surrounding the global meetings and events industry.
Taking place from 23-27 March, C&IT and Singapore Tourism Board’s joint forum and fam event Singapore INSPIRES brought delegates from the UK and Europe together to experience what the island destination has to offer corporate groups large and small for themselves.
