The network aims to:

  • connect young professionals and provide them with advice, support and community in a peer-to-peer environment

  • foster active learning among young professionals

  • be the voice of the younger generation in the Business Events industry.

Commenting on the origins of the network,  Gráinne Ní Ghiollagain, one of the co-founders and business development manager at Croke Park Meetings & Events, said: "Initially a few of us met at the ICCA FYP in Barcelona in 2015 –and we realised pretty quickly that although we were all from different cultures, different backgrounds and different organisations, that we all faced the same barriers within our workplaces as young professionals. We decided then we wanted to formulate a network whereby millennials could come together to support each other, but also where millennials could help educate companies, corporations and associations about the newer employees coming up through the ranks – and how best we could make sure that these millennials stay within the meeting industry.

"Currently we are a mixture of associations, CVBs, venues and agencies – but we want to expand and bring millennials from all over the world who work in the meetings industry together."
