Objectives:

A total of 270 people from predominantly EU countries such as Poland, Romania, Germany and Slovakia attended the one and a half day event at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Bucharest.

The objective of the annual conference was to share knowledge through various networking opportunities and bring together senior managers and owners of Siemens PLM Software partner companies. The event provided delegates with business, sales management and industry sessions which offered campaigns, initiatives and best practices to help support their business growth.

Solution:

Venue finding for the anticipated audience size and client budget was the biggest challenge, with the search beginning months in advance. Following last year’s feedback, the agenda was changed this year to shorten the length of the programme and make the sessions more concise.

Keeping in line with the event tagline of Rock On, the key note speaker was the lead singer of Iron Maiden; Bruce Dickinson who delivered a piece called Turn Your Customers into Fans. His opening speech highlighting the key to developing long term business strategies by developing relationships and trust with customers.

This year’s event also included four Sponsors; Lenovo, HP, Diota and Luxion. Each Sponsor had an exhibition stand in the networking/ break-out area which enabled them to engage with Siemens Partners.

As part of the project, Primary also produced a comprehensive online registration site, online delegate check in process and bespoke event app which was available for attendees to download. The app gave delegates the chance to view schedules, explore sessions and view speaker biographies. It also gave them a platform to post updates, open discussions and interact with a real-time feed of event activities. It proved to be a great engagement tool which was opened over 13,000 times during the event.

On the first night Primary hosted a ‘dinearound’, which allowed delegates to dine in a more casual and intimate setting with fellow attendees from their own country at a restaurant of their choice. It was up to Primary to make the reservations and organise transport to and from each of the chosen restaurants. A gala awards dinner, with entertainment from a string quartet, concluded the event on the second evening.

Verdict:

Tony Jolly; vice president, channels, EMEA at Siemens PLM Software said: "Thank you for delivering another great event and handling all our problems with patience and a fantastic attitude. You are a great team and a pleasure to work with."
