McCloy joins from the Children’s Hospice Association Scotland where he was outdoor events manager and brings several years’ experience working in events and marketing to his new role.

Wildgoose Scotland provides a dedicated team in Edinburgh to deliver events in and around Scottish locations and venues.

Commenting on his appointment, McCloy said: "I have been working in the event management business for over 15 years with experience in a wide range of different event styles. After many years as a marketeer in the financial services world of Edinburgh, I swashbuckled my way into outdoor events roaming the hills ‘n’ lochs of Perthshire and beyond. I’m passionate about delivering an excellent experience for all event participants. I am very excited to join the Maximillion team to develop and grow the Wildgoose offering across the stunning venues and locations on offer in Scotland."

John Strachan, MD at Maximillion Events, added: "We are delighted that Mike has joined our team, bringing with him a wealth of knowledge in developing, commercialising and delivering experiential events.  We anticipate that Mike will make a strong contribution to the continued growth or our Wildgoose Scotland brand."
