ExCel London hires new executive director

According to James Rees, executive director, ExCeL London, the venue’s conference and event business has doubled in the last five years, with 2017 set to be the busiest year to date. "We now have two established venues, with ExCeL London and CentrEd at ExCeL, that require dedicated and detailed marketing plans. Lucy has been instrumental in developing targeted campaigns for both venues, which are delivered to specific national and international audiences. We are delighted to be able to recognise her achievements in this way and wish her every success with her new role."

Speaking about her appointment, Merritt added: "I joined ExCeL London in 2003 and have been on an incredible journey ever since.
