Former business development manager at Chelsea Football Club Stuart Pain has joined Atlantis, The Palm in Dubai.

Taking on the role of manager, group sales, business development for MICE, Pain has transferred to the UAE to develop the events offering at the luxury property.

"I am extremely excited to have joined the team here at Atlantis, The Palm," said Pain. "It’s not only is a world-recognised resort but an attractive destination venue for conferences, events and incentives.  I look forward to driving the business forward with the great team we have, ensuring we deliver first class services to our clients and create amazing experiences."

Ian Renton, director of groups, marine and waterpark sales, added: "In the role of manager of business development, Stuart will be responsible for both international and local markets, maximising business opportunities for both domestic and overseas markets. As well as maintaining a high level of exposure for the resort in all markets."
