James Smith has joined the team with over ten years’ experience across a range of in-house and agency businesses. Prior to joining the NEC Group, he worked on events for up to ,5000 delegates right through to delivering technical solutions for spectators at Glastonbury Festival.

In his new position, Smith will be responsible for bringing new ideas for clients’ events, concentrating on the latest media server and projector mapping technology, whilst also utilising super wide blended projection screens.

Commenting on his appointment Smith said: "I am thrilled to be part of the events team at the ICC and Vox, but also part of the NEC Group as the opportunities and experience offered are endless.

"This role gives me the opportunity to be creative whilst being part of exciting events I may not otherwise get to experience. I will also be utilising my creative skills and 3D mapping knowledge to produce visuals so clients can see what they will be getting at the planning stage."

Director of event services, Allan Boyle, said: "We are pleased to welcome James to the team. He has great experience across a number of sectors and we expect him to bring a fresh approach to events we hold at the ICC and the Vox."
