Mercedes-Benz Vans UK briefed QC Events to deliver an inspiring incentive itinerary for 2016 that lived up to the previous year's trip to Las Vegas.

Mercedes-Benz Vans UK holds an annual incentive taking its top 20 UK dealers and their partners to some of the most exciting and inspiring cities around the globe. The brief was to find a destination for 2016 that would incentivise dealers and stand up to the previous year’s highly successful programme in Las Vegas, but with a slightly smaller budget. Agency QC Events was appointed to deliver a programme that met these requirements.


With the South African Rand at almost 24 to the British Pound (an all-time high), Cape Town provided exceptional value for money and enabled QC Events to develop a programme that included top class hotels, stunning restaurants, superb wines, breath-taking beaches and exciting group activities to reward the top achievers.

Perfect Pitch: South African cities

The five-day trip, which took place in late April 2016, included accommodation at the Table Bay Hotel and a multitude of activities the showcased the very best of what Cape Town has to offer. Highlights included a Land and Sea Adventure on day three, where guests were surprised with 40 Harley Davidsons arriving in convoy at the hotel to whisk them off to Cape Point complete with police escort. The group then boarded speed boats to view Cape Point from the sea, in addition to a spot of Whale watching en route.

QC Events also organised a dinner in the winelands with transport via a selection of 20 vintage Mercedes-Benz vehicles that slowly pulled around the front of the hotel in convoy.


Feedback from the group was extremely positive with one dealer commenting: "The ribs were such a highlight, travelling at high speed, watching the beautiful coastline and the opportunity to see the whales was just amazing."

Another commented: "What a surprise when 20 Mercedes-Benz vintage cars arrived to pick us up. To keep the transport completely on brand just proves the attention to detail and thought process behind this fabulous trip!"
