The event agency expects turnover for the 12 months to December 2016 will be £16.8m with a pre-tax profit of £1.4m. This compares to a turnover of £14.5m for and pre-tax profit of £392,559 for 2015.

Last year saw drp invest £400K on an expansion at its head office, doubling the complex in size with £650K spent on new facilities and technology. The agency also heavily invested in staff over the last 12 months, with £200K on training and adding 25 new team members.

"2016 has been a revolutionary and exciting year at drp," said managing director Dale Parmenter. "We swept up 32 awards, gained 16 new clients such as EE, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, and Herbert Smith Freehills, alongside launching our ever-growing thought leadership events, ‘drptalk’.

"It’s great all the team were able to share in a sizable profit related bonus in recognition of their hard work. I'm certainly excited for what’s in store for 2017."

The agency celebrated its success at the annual Christmas Conference and Brilliance Awards held in the Worcestershire drpstudios, with senior account manager Matthew Hayward winning the "Anything’s Possible Team Member of the Year" and a trip to Hong Kong.
