Investment in both the resorts and team attracted a number of new and high-profile clients for 2016, including leading health retailer, Holland & Barrett, renowned home retail business, Argos and global biopharmaceutical company, AstraZeneca.

To support the growing demand, the conference and events team has over doubled in size in the last 18 months, with five new team members joining this year, including sales executives, coordinators and managers.

Commenting on the success of the alternative MICE venue, Simon Jones, national sales manager at Butlin’s Conference & Events said: "I am delighted to work with such a dedicated and successful team at a really exciting time for the business. Delivering four years of double digit growth is not just a consequence of Butlin’s continued investment in its estate – we strongly believe that our ongoing success is a result of having such a strong and dedicated team of professionals who are committed to delivering an outstanding experience for each and every event planner and delegate."
