The new space, a custom-built suite in the same building as previously, has a much larger footprint with room for further growth.

The Indianapolis office is one of three US Ashfield Meetings & Events offices - the other two are located in Ivyland, Pennsylvania and San Bruno, California.

The events agency has had a successful year, including a win with pharmaceutical company Bayer, the launch of its Science for Meetings programme, and collaborating with BlueHat on the Future Focus leadership development game.

Commenting on the office expansion, Gavin Houston (CEO Americas) said: "New business wins, primarily in strategic meeting management programmes and dedicated client account teams, have driven sustainable growth across our US operations in 2016. We have a hugely talented team in Indianapolis and I was delighted to welcome them to their new home. It is an environment that will allow them to develop as individuals and feel proud to welcome their clients."

Nicola Burns (global managing director) added: "We have made a considerable investment in our offices in recent years to ensure consistency across our international locations. We have done this to drive our values and align our culture. Each office now includes purpose-built creative spaces for staff to begin to visualise projects and explore innovative solutions for our clients. It has created a real buzz in the Indianapolis office which is exactly what we wanted. We want all our employees to be inspired, be motivated and for work to feel like fun."
