C&IT's inaugural Incentives Retreat kicked off at Chewton Glen, Hampshire on Monday (5 December), bringing together a group of 20 top UK buyers with incentive suppliers.
Buyers from companies included BCD Meetings & Incentives, Prudential, AddingValue, drp, Black Tomato Agency and Eventful for the two day event. Content included a debate on the incentives of the future, discussing what the future holds for group travel and what the post-millennials will look for as the ultimate reward.
The Gold Masquerade themed evening, which included a champagne reception, sumptuous four-course dinner, and range of special performances, included a star appearance and exclusive auction prize from Sir Cliff Richard. Staff and clients were in attendance alongside guests from the public.
ACC Liverpool held its Annual Showcase at Simpson’s-in-the-Strand on Wednesday (7 December). Around 80 guests in the association, corporate and exhibition sectors, along with agency representatives and entertainment promoters, attended an evening of networking in the historic venue.
Attendees watched a short video which featured highlights of the year including The Queen officially opening Exhibition Centre Liverpool and its adjoining hotel Pullman Liverpool. It also showcased 2016 events such as the International Festival for Business, the Labour Party conference, the European Association for International Education and Sir Rod Stewart.
ACC Liverpool was joined at the event, which was the venue’s eleventh Showcase, by 19 city partners including Liverpool Convention Bureau, Liverpool Football Club and Virgin Trains.
Guests attended from organisations including the British Association of Urological Surgeons, the Federation of Petroleum Suppliers and BBC Worldwide. Entertainment was provided by pianist Matea Maras.
