Objective

Wildgoose hosted an event for Sony Mobile Communications (SOMC) to support them in getting used to their new offices in Chiswick after a move from Hammersmith in October. The event needed to be fun and engaging while not being too disruptive to neighbouring companies in the business park.

Solution

The Office Relocator challenge split 80 people into 16 teams, to unearth local hotspots using Sony smartphones through bespoke content relating to local bars, businesses and amenities. Challenges included ‘Get Spelling’ where teams had to communicate and work together to spell out the word ‘Sony’, and a task where they produced and advertised their own product QVC style. The teams took part in a Sporting Trivia Task, answering trivia questions which also related to Sony’s sponsorship of the UEFA Champions League.

Wildgoose’s operations team worked closely with SOMC in a very short lead time to incorporate key hotspots around the local area to help employees get their bearings in their new location. The activity helping to encourage teamwork and creativity and bring together a team of people, who, under normal circumstances are not together at the same time.

Verdict

"We wanted an activity for everyone to explore the surroundings of our new office in a fun way and we needed something that applied to that specific area. Wildgoose reacted fast to our brief and managed to personalise the activity in a short timeframe. Everyone had fun and we had great feedback after the event. Thanks to the team for working very quickly and being professional throughout!" said the events & PR manager Europe - Sony Mobile Communications.
