IHG opens new Dominican Republic hotel

InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) has announced the opening of the InterContinental Real Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic.

The hotel has 227 rooms, two bars and three unique concept restaurants. The property also offers nearly 9,000 square feet of meeting space spread across eight rooms and maximum capacity of 750 guests.

Jason Moskal, vice president, Lifestyle Brands, The Americas, IHG said: "We are excited to partner once again with Real Hotels & Resorts to bring the glamour and luxury of the InterContinental life to the city of Santo Domingo. With its location in a key international gateway destination, the InterContinental Real Santo Domingo contributes to the strong growth of the InterContinental brand."

The hotel has a variety of luxury suites, including 16 junior suites and one presidential suite which spans 2,300 square feet and offers views of the Caribbean Sea. The onsite spa offers guests a chance to relax while enjoying a wide range of treatments. Guests can also enjoy two saunas, two steam baths and an infinity pool overlooking the city.
