For the past eight months, Waddington has been in a consultancy role for the agency’s founder and managing director, Charlotte Wilson.
Waddington, who is the chair at Event Marketing Association (EMA), brings much experience to the role. After founding First Protocol (recently rebranded as FIRST) in 1996 he stood down from his role of CEO in 2012, selling the majority of his shares. Since then he has remained actively involved in the industry, particularly with corporate specialist assocation, EMA.

"I am very excited to be a part of this dynamic, committed and friendly team. I see great potential in Pure Events and believe that the growth has so far been down to Charlotte’s strong client relationship skills, creativity and drive," said Waddington.
"We are in a very exciting phase of this flourishing business, as we now have a highly competent team on board, spearheaded by Milo Gabric as operations director. We have great client relationships with repeat business and most importantly a strong balance sheet to allow us to invest and grow."
Wilson added: "Richard and I have always worked well together, he is an inspiration to me and has helped me to find the right people to drive the business forward in the right direction. Together I believe we can achieve great things in the future, and look forward to this next wave of the strategy and focus."
