Katie Peake has joined the team from Tribe Marketing, and will help the team to further develop its creative offering for clients.

The company, which won the Global Agency of the Year award at last month’s C&IT Awards, has made several senior and junior appointments in 2016. They include James Barnes, who joined as business development director earlier this year. In line with its plans for development, Avantgarde is supporting ‘steady growth’ to meet the demands of both new and existing clients.

Steve Austen-Brown, creative director, said: "Katie’s fantastic experience and huge drive to create outstanding brand experience work completely won us over and we feel extremely lucky to have her on-board."

Meanwhile, managing director, Stuart Bradbury, added: "It’s really important for the agency to find strong creative talent. We conduct a very thorough interview process and look for people who are likely to work with us long-term. With 13 offices around the world, there’s opportunities for our staff to work globally, so we look for people who are adventurous and open-minded."
