The Incentive Travel Council, a strategic industry group of the Incentive Marketing Association, reported strong growth for incentive travel in the US.

Budgets are on the rise, with the average per-person-spend on incentive travel increasing to £2575. The white paper also showed that travel and reward and recognition programmes are rated more highly than cash rewards by American employees.

"Incentive travel is about more than people taking trips. Today’s businesses are looking for meaningful ways to connect business goals with employee aspirations and travel can be a great motivator," said Marc Matthews, CPIM, CEO Pulse Experiential Travel and Incentive Travel Council president.
