The three-day show, which grew by 13% in 2015, is expected to be even bigger this year, with more than 3,250 exhibiting companies who represent over 139 countries, a wider variety of educational seminars and more networking and social events set to take place across the week. These events include the annual Site Nite celebration at Omnia Nightclub, Caesars Palace, and MPI's Rendevouz at Drai's Beach Club and NIghtclub.
Other areas of the show that have grown this year include Asia Pacific (increased by 7%), hotels (also up 7%), USA (14% bigger) and incentive products (also up 14%), while first time exhibitors contributing to this expansion include Taiwan, Slovenia Tourist Board, Visit Flanders, Destination Michigan, Albuquerque CVB, Global Gifting, Boomset and glh hotels.
"At IMEX America there’s always that sense that something exciting and new is in the air – much of it planned but much of it down to the magic that happens when thousands of industry professionals come together in one place," said IMEX Group CEO Carina Bauer.
"This year’s no different. Several significant industry announcements are scheduled this year, which also adds to the sense of anticipation and authority at the show."
Two topics will dominate the educational content at this year's show, with attendees invited to weigh-in on discussions surrounding the sharing economy and 'when personal meets professional'.
