How did you choose this year's host venue?
We were very lucky to have been approached by Palazzo Versace at last year's event in Bodrum, Turkey and discussions began then. It has certainly paid off - we are the first major international event in here as the hotel holds its official launch next month.

Where do this year's delegates come from?
We have 64 agencies and corporate event planners that have travelled in from the States, Brazil, Argentina, all across Europe, Australia and various parts of Asia including Singapore and India.

What is the theme of this year's event?
Change is the over-arching theme that we are exploring and it has a number of aspects, from our keynote, through to panel discussions on how technology, personalisation and millennial attitudes are driving change.

Have luxury events been affected by the global downturn?
Had we launched a few years prior, we might have found this but we launched when we were seeing signs of a comeback and a resurgence of incentives, plus clients looking to really reward and recognise their employees.

What is your vision for the future of Invoyage?
We would like to develop it to have a strong presence within this community. We don't want it to be a behemoth or for the mass market. We want to deliver an incredible experience and to inspire our audience.
