New DoubleTree hotel opens in Glasgow

Hilton has announced the opening of DoubleTree by Hilton Glasgow Central, following an £11m refurbishment.

Located in the city centre, the property is home to 300 rooms and is owned and managed by Amaris Hospitality.

DoubleTree by Hilton Glasgow Central also offers conference facilities with Scotland’s largest hotel meeting space, The Grand Ballroom. The ballroom can accommodate up to 1,500 delegates, while a further 12 meeting spaces are also available on site, all with natural daylight and new equipment.

John Brennan, CEO of Amaris Hospitality said, "We are extremely excited to be opening the new DoubleTree by Hilton Glasgow Central Hotel after an extensive £11 million investment and refurbishment. This wonderful, city-centre hotel is Amaris Hospitality’s second Hilton brand hotel in Scotland. We look for great hotels in world class locations and the DoubleTree by Hilton Glasgow Central Hotel is the perfect addition to the Amaris portfolio."

Guests can also use the hotel’s leisure facilities, which include a heating swimming pool, sauna, steam rooms and the property’s restaurant, Brisket.
