Kensington Palace

Kensington Palace welcomed 90 event planners and high-end brands on Wednesday (21 September) for an evening of entertaining.

Hosted in collaboration with one of Kensington Palace’s approved catering suppliers, Rhubarb, guests from companies including The Prince’s Trust, BAFTA, Disney, Lillingston, and Banana Split, enjoyed a drinks reception on the western Orangery Lawn, which featured a luxury stretch marquee provided by 10x15.

Rhubarb provided a standing food station-style course to start, with guests able to choose from dishes including mackerel tartare with samphire and gin compressed cucumber, and miso glazed lobster, with a sriracha crème fraiche dipping sauce.

Guests were then led into the Orangery, where they were treated to a two-course supper of Beef, Roscoff Onion, Carrot and Ash and a Blood Orange, Yuzu and Lime dessert.

Following dinner, guests moved outside to the eastern Orangery Lawn where a new marquee, a tipi-style tent, had been set up for them to enjoy a selection of after-dinner cocktails.

SANA Hotels

SANA Hotels hosted a fam trip in the Algarve last weekend for event specialists from Zibrant, Conference Contacts, Clive, AOK events, Lime Blue Solutions and Global Events, amongst others.

The group spent two nights at the 5* EPIC SANA Algarve in Albufeira where they enjoyed the hotel’s facilities and a dining experience in the hotels Alquimia restaurant.

On the first day the group took part in a 4x4 experience hosted by Extremo, discovering the little villages with picturesque views along the way. No limits hosted the group to a west coastline trip on a sunseeker yacht on the second day with the highlight being all aboard to swim in the sea followed by a typical Portuguese lunch on the beach at restaurant Evaristo. Algarve T provided the transfers for the trip.

Royal Hospital Chelsea

Last night (22 September) the Royal Hospital Chelsea opened its doors for an evening showcase. The inaugural event gave guests the opportunity to experience the venue’s hospitality whilst mingling with the iconic Chelsea Pensioners at their historic home.

On arrival guests were greeted with a choral medley performed by the Royal Hospital’s Chapel Choir, before enjoying a selection of drinks and canapés in the main hall. The evening’s drinks were sponsored by The Prosecco Agency, who donated 10 cases of Prosecco and Zafferano, as well as creating a special cocktail for the occasion, the ‘Chelsea Gardener’.

Business Events Canada

Business Events Canada hosted a fun filled evening of cocktails canapés and authentic Canadian entertainment last night (22 September) at BAFTA in Piccadilly.

Event professionals from the likes of George P Johnson, Banks Sadler and Ideal Venues attended the event to take the chance to meet with Business Events Canada partners who had travelled over for the annual roadshow event, which came to Brussels first earlier in the week.

Representatives from Toronto, Vancouver and Alberta were on hand to showcase the C&I highlights of each destination as attendees traversed the room taking part in a series of tasks as part of an interactive GPS activity organised by teambuilding agency Bluehat Group. Entertainment came from renowned Canadian comedian Craig Campbell and award-winning jazz and blues singer Ann Vriend.
