The Smart Group venue, located in southwest London, invited a crowd of corporate and agency event planners to celebrate the reopening of the rebuilt and rebranded Battersea Evolution.

The night begun in the venue’s mezzanine level where guests enjoyed champagne and cocktails on arrival while the venue was able to showcase the variety of set-ups available through virtual reality headsets.

Battersea Evolution opens new event space

The main arena where dinner would be served was kept hidden until a big reveal wowed the room showing two enormous long tables dressed in autumnal decorations. In-house caters Smart Hospitality provided a sumptuous three-course dinner while entertainment from a slew of performers took place on a centre stage.

The evening finished back on the mezzanine level where creative desert stations included sashimi chocolates and seared meringues.

Located on a 14,000sqm site in Battersea Park, Battersea Evolution is split into four main areas: a 450sqm glass-fronted atrium, a 3,750sqm main arena, a 700sqm mezzanine level and 750sqm back-of-house area that can also be used as additional event space.
