Smith & Wollensky and ILEA party

This week Smith & Wollensky officially launch its events space in the Adelphi Building, London, with a special event in conjunction with ILEA UK. The restaurant, which opened last summer, delivered an evening of entertainment, with storytelling being the theme for the night.

Journalist and raconteur Nick Deluca shared his approach to telling stories, before the venue brought its own food, drink and service heritage to life in an interactive tour of the venue. More than 120 guests attended the tour, which displayed the venues facilities including butchery classes, cocktail making, wine making, cocktail making and the art of Sabrage.

St Lucia Tourist Board's night at the Groucho Club

St Lucia Tourist Board held a travel incentive event on 14 September at the Groucho Club in London where guests arrived for an evening of networking and learning.

Nine partners were in attendance to give event professionals background knowledge on the destination, including Barefoot Holidays, Spice Travel and Premier Concierge, Capella Marigot Bay Resort & Marina, Cap Maison/the Landings, Coco Palm & the HarborClub, Bay Gardens Resort, Anse Chastanet/Jade Mountain, Sandals Resorts and St James's Club Morgan Bay. As well as enjoying drinks and canapés, one lucky guest one a trip to St Lucia. 

The Appointment Group

The Appointment Group (TAG) celebrated the graduation of its first class of academy trainees last week (Friday 9 September). The main mission of the academy was to educate and offer professional training to young individuals aiming to become expert travel executives, while offering training programmes on supplier products and sector specific seminars.  The trainees all successfully completed the 52-week course, and managed to secure positions within the corporate and touring departments at the agency.
