Titled ‘crafting Brands for Life Awards’ (cB4L), the event provided a ‘digital playground’ for the company to showcase and celebrate the achievements of agency partners across various projects.
Upon arrival, delegates were greeted at the recently refurbished Sea Containers House on London’s South Bank by Unilever founder William Lever. Through a roaming gesture controlled projectionist, guests were then able to explore the work of all shortlisted campaigns on giant interactive touchscreens, during a pre-dinner drinks reception.
After tucking into a two course meal, provided by caterers Green and Fortune, dessert was served during the main awards. The awards were kick started by a graffiti artist, using Google Tilt Brush and followed by a guest star appearance from KT Tunstall.
Live Union’s creative strategy director Jez Paxman said: "The original brief asked us to develop and execute a creative theme, to underpin a fresh and exciting evening with the use of technology, to enhance engagement and interactivity within our connected world – ‘digital playground’ did just that. Mist orbs, gesture control, virtual reality and giant touchscreen tablets brought the authenticity, relevance and talk-ability of the brands to life."
