"At Colt Technology we work with two agencies, ACA Live and Red E2. We tend to choose agencies that have experience working with global companies like us, and can demonstrate that they are used to multi- cultural, multi-national environments. We look at the senior people within the agency, taking into account their track records with project and budget management.

Fee structure is also important, but there are other factors to consider as well. We want to create great events for our staff, and know the agency understands what we’re looking for. For example, it’s really important to find an agency that understands the CSR aspect to our events.

We prefer working with smaller agencies, as we feel we get a better level of service and we can work alongside senior management. In a bigger agency you may not get as much personal attention, or you may have a project manager who is more junior. I also feel our business is probably worth more to small agencies. You spend a huge amount of time with these guys
so it’s important that your values and personalities really match."
