Three weekly flights will operate direct to Keflavik throughout winter on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Meanwhile twice-weekly flights to Finland will start from 19 December.
As well as the new winter routes, low-cost airline Norwegian has also increased the number of London Gatwick flights to Lanzarote, Tenerife, Tromso and Grenoble, adding an additional 25,000 seats for the winter season on these routes.
Thomas Ramdahl, chief commercial officer at Norwegian said: "The addition of these new routes and extra capacity to some of our most popular winter destinations will make this our busiest winter at London Gatwick. We expect Brits to flock to the Icelandic island and Lapland this winter with the added bonus of free Wi-Fi on board."
